The UK PACT (UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) programme operates across multiple countries and continents. UK PACT is demand-driven, adjusting its key focus areas to partner countries’ needs and sector priorities.

Through UK PACT, the UK Government has supported environmental advancement across several provinces in Indonesia, including North Sumatra, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and South Sulawesi. This collaboration has strengthened two key sectors: low-carbon transport and energy efficiency. In partnership with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the programme has contributed to national energy efficiency targets through initiatives in the building sector, the development of pilot financial products, and the introduction of policies that promote market-based instruments. It also encourages stronger coordination among energy stakeholders, while fostering policies that make energy efficiency measures more practical, appealing, and accessible for implementation.

In Indonesia, UK PACT operates within the Melaju partnership, as part of the ongoing UK-Indonesia collaboration to advance sustainable, low-carbon development.
